OPEN HOUSE @ UC Clermont was a big hit!

25 OCT 2012 Batavia, OH The 2012 UC Clermont Open House was attended by over 400 visitors to campus last evening. More than 160 applications were completed too! Guests were able to visit tables from the many campus services including The Learning Center, Counseling Services, College Success Program, Gateway to Success, Career Services, Student Life, Bookstore, Technology Services, the Testing Center, Community Arts and the Library. Professors and students from all UCC academic programs were present to discuss course-specific questions, majors, career options and much more. If you missed out on the fun but would like to visit campus, please stop by any Wednesday @ 1 p.m. or Friday @ 10 a.m. to Student Services 100 for a general Information Session and Campus Tour. UC East Allied Health labs visited by US Grant

US Grant Career Center's exceptional Allied Health seniors, led by instructor Myrna Little, visited UC East this week.

The group toured UC labs for majors in BSN Nursing, EMS/Paramedic, Respiratory Care, Physical Thery Assistant, Medical Assisting, Surgical Technology, and Multi-Skilled Health Technician. UC East was the former Ford Transmission plant in Batavia, Ohio on SR 32. After Ford closed the plant 5 years ago, the Univeristy of Cincinnati took over the 2-story office complex at the site and gutted the structure to build the most advanced allied health labs in the region. UC East is also the site of a number of Bachelor completion programs including Nursing, Criminal Justice, Paralegal, Early Childhood Education and the new Bachelor of Administration option for those holding a technical associate degree. Live Oaks and Scarlet Oaks classes will also visit UC East and UC Clermont's original Batavia campuses in the next 2 weeks. Let me know if you'd like to check it out for yourself! Go 2 UC! UC Clermont will hold an OPEN HOUSE on Thursday evening, October 25, 2012 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. This is a great way to meet UC Clermont professors, discuss majors, tour campus and turn in your Application, all in 1 night. The $50 Application Fee will be waived for all who turn in their Application at the event! There will also be a special drawing for those that apply and 1 lucky winner will be awarded 1 class = a $654 value ... for FREE! . UC Clermont recruits in Brown County

UC Clermont visited 2 of the Brown County schools yesterday: Western Brown and Georgetown High Schools. . We were greeted by enthusiastic students interested in knowing more about UC and UC Clermont College. . The Application process remains the same this year at UC Clermont: - fill out the Application (online at www.ucclermont.edu or paper) - turn in official transcripts We highly encourage students to do this before Thanksgiving. We'll accept them later, but want students to be considered for UC's Cincinnatus Scholarships, and the deadline for this big pot of gold in December 1 each fall.
