Career Center Connection

On the road again...

Within the last week, I've been at Live Oaks Career Center in Milford, Ohio for 2 special events. First was the student College Fair. Then I participated in the Senior Parent Information Session. Both were nice events where I got to speak with students about their future and options available at UC Clermont. Thanks to everyone that stopped by our table.

Besides Live Oaks, we work closely with other Great Oaks Career Centers including Laurel Oaks in Wilmington and Scarlet Oaks in Sharonville. We also see a lot of students from US Grant Career Center in Bethel and Southern Hills Career Center in Georgetown. It is a pleasure working with these students because they already have advanced technical skills that often fit well within our technical degree programs.

UC Clermont is also a College Tech Prep partner, offering a number of career pathways to students from local career centers. If you are a College Tech Prep student, you should check with me to see how Advanced Standing through College Tech Prep can save you time and money toward your college degree. We also offer special scholarships to those participating in College Tech Prep. BTW - the UC Clermont Scholarship Booklet for the 2007-2008 academic year will be available near the end of January. Ask your guidance counselor to let you know when it comes in.

Future road trip: I'll be back at US Grant Career Center on Thursday, December 7 to speak to the Teacher Acadamy.
