BIG TIME Birthday Celebration!
Preparations for the party, I mean year, began last fall as prospects turned in applications and transcripts to get signed up to attend classes this year. The summer flew by in warp drive, full of orientation sessions, appointments, and seemingly countless phone calls. A giant crescendo of last minute activity led to the start of the school year.
When the dust had cleared, we were very pleased to see our beautiful campus full of students! The start of the 35th anniversary of UC Clermont was highlighted by the largest attendance in our history. 3,000 students in all!
Thanks to everyone who decided this was the right place to attend college. We are pleased to have your support and look forward to the day when you walk across the stage at UC’s Fifth Third Arena to claim your diploma.
We’re also thankful for all of the supporting family members, high school guidance counselors, administrators, teachers, business partners, and community members that were a part of making this a record breaking year. I’d like to pass on a special thanks to the Southwest Ohio Educational Opportunities Center http://www.clc.uc.edu/sweoc for helping so many apply for the financial aid to make school a reality, and to the staff at both Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound http://www.clc.uc.edu/Trio/default.html for being such a great encouragement to our community.
So now that school is back in session, le’s get to work!
Best wishes for a fabulous school year,
Blaine
