UC Clermont Cougars in National Tourney

The UC Clermont College men’s and women’s basketball teams each earned bids to the 2011 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship Tournament being held from March 1-5 on the campus of Penn State Fayette in Uniontown, Penn.

The UCC Women's Team won their first game but lost the next day to the #1 seeded Ave Maria Lady Gyrnes. The Lady Cougars are playing Southern Virginia Tech in the 5th-place bracket game as I write this blog. More on this later

UCC Men's Team dominated yesterday against the Southern Maine Seahawks: 109-76. The Cougars defeated #6 New Hampshire Tech earlier today in the Final 4 game: 90-86. The Cougars will be playing for the National Championship on Saturday for the 2nd time in 4 years. The Cougars were last National Champions in 2007, at that time giving Coach John Hurley his 700 win!
